The first British Championship Basketball season came to a close in style as the league’s top talent gathered at Worthing Leisure Centre for the inaugural BCB All-Star Game.

BCB Closes Inaugural Season with All-Star Showcase

After a season filled with standout performances, title races and playoff drama, the All-Star Game gave players, fans and clubs one final chance to celebrate the campaign. Hosted by Worthing Thunder, the event brought together some of the league’s biggest names for a day built around entertainment, recognition and high-level basketball.

On the court, it was Team Blue who came away with the win, defeating Team White 135–111 in a fast-paced, high-scoring showcase full of shot-making, creativity and highlight plays.

Leading the way for Team Blue was Jordan Spencer, who produced an excellent all-around performance with 29 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds. His display helped set the tone in a game that captured the spirit of the event, with both sides playing freely and giving the crowd plenty to enjoy.

The All-Star rosters reflected the depth of talent across the league. Team White featured Mo Walker, Jaron Thames, Eric Donaldson, Elijah Maynard, AJ Roberts, Corey Johnson, Nicholas Lewis, Elvis Dusha, Kai Walker and Jalen Cook. Team Blue was made up of David Ulph, Matthew Bryan-Manning, Raheem May-Thompson, Zack Powell, Nassim Ladjimi, Juan Manning, Jai Pathmarajah, Jordan Spencer, Victor Olarerin and Zain Poorman.

The day was not just about the main game either. The skills contests added another layer to the showcase, giving fans a chance to see some of the league’s most exciting individual talent take centre stage before tip-off.

Corey Johnson came out on top in the Three-Point Shootout, winning a strong field that included AJ Roberts, Nassim Ladjimi, Jalen Cook, Juan Manning and Victor Olarerin. With several proven scorers involved, the contest gave the crowd an early taste of the shooting talent on display across the league.

The Dunk Contest followed, with Victor Olarerin taking the crown against a field that included Kai Walker, Zack Powell and Malik Bryant. It brought some of the loudest reactions of the day and added another memorable moment to the All-Star schedule.

More than anything, the event felt like a celebration of the league itself. It gave fans the chance to see players from different teams share the floor, created matchups that would not usually happen during the season, and provided a fitting close to the inaugural BCB campaign.

For the BCB, the All-Star Game was more than just a finale. It was another sign of what the league can continue to build — more visibility for players, more events for supporters, and more opportunities to showcase the talent across British basketball.

With Reading Rockets claiming the league title, Newcastle Knights lifting the playoff crown, and Team Blue taking the All-Star Game, the season ended with several different storylines sharing the spotlight.

The inaugural BCB season has now officially come to an end, but the All-Star Game offered a strong reminder of the talent in the league and the potential for even more growth moving forward.
